Resolve any issues you have with your past. Your past is not your enemy, it is your friend. You should be able to remember things that have happened without any feelings of shame or regret, and you should be able to enjoy thinking about your past without trying to recreate or live in it. Your past is part of what makes you who you are today and where all your lessons have been learned; without it, you wouldn’t have a present and without the present, you wouldn’t have a future.
