You could chase a rainbow forever before realising that rainbows never meets the ground. A rainbow has no physical properties so it can never be felt or touched by your skin, and rainbows appears slightly differently to every individual who observes it. The person who chases the end of the rainbow will tire themselves out and not appreciate the beauty of it, the person who sits and admires the pretty colours will enjoy every possible aspect of it. We shouldn’t chase happiness, it does not need to be chased. Take some time to sit down and admire all the little things that make you happy and be grateful for what you do have. Those who chase happiness often run past it and do not realise. It’s important to understand that happiness isn’t an action or an item; it’s a choice. To achieve maximum happiness we must learn to take some time to admire the good things around us, no matter how small they are and choose to let them affect us; much like choosing to admire the colours in the rainbow.
